What is Syndication? Does it Have Anything to do with Team Work?
Syndication is a new word in network marketing - but is it a new concept?
Well maybe it is and maybe it isn't. It all depends on your view of network marketing.
The very name of the game should alert you to the fact that networking is team work.
Team work implies that you all work together as a team. How much do you work with your colleagues as a team?
Does working as a team restrict you to your own downline or do you consider everyone in your network is worthy of help - whether they are in your downline or not?
Let's go even further than that and really stretch the boundaries: what about people in other networks - you know - the opposition - the ones that are trying to steal your prospects - and horror of horrors - your downline too!!
Well by now you probably think I am completely off the planet. Help people in another company - why would I do that?
Of course it happens - people do transfer from one network marketing company to another - but have you ever stopped to think why they would do that?
Let's Define Syndication
Syndication means a group of individuals or organizations combined or making a joint effort to undertake some specific duty or carry out specific transactions or negotiations: The local furniture store is individually owned, but is part of a buying syndicate. (Dictionary.com)
That definition tells us that there is some benefit to doing things together. The example given by the dictionary shows that there clearly would by financial advantages to buying as a team - even though these stores maybe in competition with one another.
The same is true for network marketing. Quite apart from the valuable backlinks that you will get by helping spread other peoples content - which is what syndication is really all about: you can actually learn and profit from one another.
What about the worry that they will siphon off your prospect or even your members?
Firstly members are not going to leave your company if they are happy with the support that they are getting. Its not lack of results that makes people change companies it is lack of team work and support.
If there is no-one available to help them understand your programme when they are new; then they are not going to hang around waiting forever to find out. Sending in support tickets can be daunting to someone who is totally new to marketing on the internet. They probably have a dozen questions and they will find it quite intimidating having to send that many tickets - and they likely won't get answered for another 24 - 48 hours. Then of course there will be the inevitable misunderstanding and/or they will be referred back to the very instructions that they didn't understand in the first place! If you have had this happen to you; then you will know exactly what I am talking about.
So syndication needs some team work to make it work to your best advantage. You need to connect to other people - you can learn from each other.
The benefits of syndication and team work far outweigh the disadvantages. Yes it will take up some of your time but don't discount it - it is worth it.
If you want to get more traffic to your website and rank higher on the search engines, syndication is the way to go.
Just how much do you want people to recognise your brand and know that to be connected with you is the way forward?
Then don't forget that teamwork is also part of the equation. Zig Ziglar said "You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."
